May 17 - Third Thursday: A Poetry Event

Third Thursday is a monthly poetry reading. Each month, there will be a featured poet followed by an open mic poetry reading. All poets and poetry lovers are encouraged to attend. Those reading for the open mic do not need to read their own work. The event begins at 6pm in the FCCU Community Room.

The featured poet for May is Lisa Fishman.

May 18-20 - Hurray! For Hollywood Weekend

Roll out the red carpet as we take a stroll through movie history, both past and present. There will be movie madness games, movie trivia and maybe even an appearance by a movie star or two! Don't forget to take the time to enjoy the beautiful star gazing under our clear blue sky. This weekend, you might even be able to see Mars!

May 19 - Trot for the Pot

Trot for the Pot is a one-time only competitive 5k run and fun walk event put on by the Fort Atkinson Project Lead Group byTrot for the Pot way of the Fort Atkinson Chamber of Commerce. The race will start at 9:00am on Saturday, May 19th. This event is to raise money for the construction of a bathroom facility at Barrie Park in the heart of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. In addition to providing wonderful green-space and play areas for kids of all ages, the Park also has a beautiful band shell that plays host to concerts and performances. The Park is also located near the bike path.

Barrie Park is a wonderful gem in our City that needs but one thing......Hence......Trot for the Pot! The race route will include a tour down part of the bike path. Lots of great prizes and giveaways for all ages, from the most competitive of racers, to those wanting a fun leisurely stroll and for those somewhere in between. No worries, as a temporary facility will be available. It'll be a bowl of fun!

Join us for the ninth annual Touch-a Truck. Tour a Fire truck, semi-truck, police car, race car and tow truck - just to name a few.
