Fort Farmers Market celebrates locally produced foods and artisan crafts each Saturday from 8am to 12pm in downtown Fort Atkinson 1 block off of Main St. The market boasts almost 45 local producers who sell: locally farmed and organic vegetables and fruits; organic cheese and eggs; grass fed beef & chicken; homemade baguettes,scones and jam-filled donuts; fresh milled wheat breads; honey, syrup and jam; fresh cut flowers and herbs; fine jewelry and more. Each Saturday also offers music by regionally acclaimed musicians, like Peter Mulvey and Josh Hardy, as well as FREE art activities at the NASCO Kids Creativity Tent. The market also has special monthly Arts Saturday with 15 additional arts producers. In addition, there are special activities like Dairy Day in June and monthly educational programs like healthy cooking with Fort Health Care chef Colleen Miller. This event is to raise money for the construction of a bathroom facility at Barrie Park in the heart of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. In addition to providing wonderful green-space and play areas for kids of all ages, the Park also has a beautiful band shell that plays host to concerts and performances. The Park is also located near the bike path.

The winter has finally come to an end, and we are excited to welcome back our old friends and to meet new camping friends. Join us this weekend to meet our 2012 Rec Rangers. They will be in training and have a few planned activities, such as crafts, bingo and a Hey! Hey! Ride with Ranger Smith. There are also many activities to enjoy on your own, such as nature hikes, mini golf and bon fires.
