The Whitewater Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that the concession operation and boat rental at Cravath Lakefront Park will be opening Thursday, June 13th - August 19th The Cravath Lakefront will be a destination this summer you will not want to miss. Paddleboats, kayaks, and fishing poles will all be available to rent along with a concession stand that will offer something for all. Rentals fees for kayaks and/or paddleboats are $3.00 for 30 minutes or $5.00 for 60 minutes. Capital Off-Road Pathfinders has worked for years to build CamRock Park into one of the hidden gems of mountain biking in WI and the country. Battle of CamRock is a race that enthusiasts look forward to every year.
The trail system at CamRock is a blend of wide and fast flowing single-track that runs through open fields of prairie grass, wooded single-track with bermed turns, and more technical single-track with a touch of roots and rocks. The Battle of CamRock's course contains some great downhill sections that will have you begging for another lap.

June 17 - Ride the Rock - Bicycling for Literacy
Join the Jefferson County Literacy Council for its annual RIDE THE ROCK-BICYCLING FOR LITERACY on June 17 at Jones Park in Fort Atkinson. There are 11, 20, 40 and 60-mile rides offered and a 60-mile race. Registration opens at 6:45 AM. All proceeds benefit JCLC in order to fund free instruction to adults in basic literacy and pre-GED skills, English as a second language, computer literacy and citizenship instruction, as well as three family programs. Ride the Rock is a fantastic way to give back to the community and spend time with family and friends while promoting wellness and literacy education. |
